July 30. We were driving along then we stopped there was a big buffalo in the road. I could hear its hoves going click click click click click clonck clonck clonck clonck clonck while he walked by. He looked like a big elphant with big horns and he had a long beard the looked like a goat. He was bigger than me and I wanted to marry him. And then I saw that there was a car behind him and he just walked like a king to his throne and taking his time. He was close very close and I could of reached out and kissed it but he would not like it though.
The bison don't seem to notice the cars too much in Yellowstone

July 26, we went to a KOA!!! It was in Arco, Idaho. Once we got there, Daddy told us to get our swimsuits on. We were going swimming! I had to do my Craters of the Moon junior ranger packet first. I finished my packet so I put on my swimsuit and went swiming. After we swam for a little bit we went to our RV and had some dinner.
The next morning we were planning to go to a nine o’clock ranger program, but we woke up too late. We decided to stay another night at the campground. So then me and Ellie went out to play. Then we asked if we could go to the pool. And then we jumped in the pool. Then we swam for a little bit. Then we got out and then we wrapped our warm towels around ourselves. A little later Greta and Stella asked if we could go to the pool again. Our parents said yes so we went to the pool and swam for a little bit. And then we got out the pool and dried off, then we went back to the RV to have lunch. Then we asked again, and guess what our parents said? Yes we could go to the pool! I was so happy. I went outside and I did a cartwheel. We went to the pool and swam for a little bit. Then we got out and went back to the RV! 🙂

At Eagle Tree RV Park, Daddy went outside and came back in the RV with some salmonberries. Me and Ellie went out to play for just a tiny bit and then came back in and went to bed. In the morning, me and Ellie went out to play and we started picking some salmonberries. Then Stella and Greta came out, too. We picked and lot and came inside again. I asked Mom for a container. I got a plastic cup and picked more salmonberries. They were really good. It was really fun to go around and pick them and to eat them. We picked some blackberries, too, but I couldn’t really pick them because I had shorts on and the blackberries had thorns and I couldn’t get to them. But then I put long pants on. Then it was time to go into Seattle and ride the ferry.

July 21 was our second day on the ferry. I started to get a headache so me and Daddy went to the back of the boat. We went outside. Daddy kneeled down and I sat on his lap. It was really cold but it felt good. I asked Daddy some questions. I asked him how does the boat go, and why are the waves so big by the boat. Then we went back inside where it was warmer. I stopped in the hallway and said this is a good place to be where it is not so bumpy. Daddy said he had another place and he showed me the way to the dining room a the back of the boat. We sat and looked out the window and talked and then a nice server gave us some water. We went back and got Greta. We walked out on the deck and went back to the dining room. Then Stella showed up and sat on Daddy’s lap. The four of us had a conversation. We talked about lots of things. it became calmer again so we went back up to the front lounge where Mommy and Ellie were sleeping.
Campers on the Back Deck of the ferry, where me and Daddy hung out. The dining room is up above the tents.

July 61th we went togose forist. when we got to see a egsapol of a glash. he wulde tack this
*Editor: July 16th we went to the Tongass Forest, in Juneau, the capital of Alaska. We got to see a ranger make a model of a glacier. He took some gooey stuff and piled it up on a map of the mountains. He kept on piling up the gooey stuff until there was a tall pile and it started to move down the mountain. It was funny because it looked really gooshy. Then we went on a scavenger hunt. We walked on a trail to a big, huge waterfall that was by a really big glacier. Me and Ellie played “Huskie Dogs”. Mine was named “Dave” and Ellie’s was named “Buck”. We got the names from the book Daddy is reading us, it’s called “The Call of the Wild”. There were a lot of chunks of ice floating in the lake by the Glacier. They were called “icebergs”.

At Oceanside RV Park on July 13th, I was playing at the beach and then I went up to see Mama and Beth and then this lady was talking about sea otters. And then she pointed out a sea otter. And then I shouted to Greta and Stella and Ellie and Ava and Brooke, “There’s a sea otter, you know!” and they said, “I know!” but actually they didn’t see one; they saw some rocks instead. And then I said, “Those are rocks!” and then I pointed to the real sea otter.
Then we went back to play, and Stella and Ellie went to ask if we could put our swimsuits on. But they came back saying, “No, but we can get as wet as we want.” So I did, and I was silly enough to pour a whole water bottle of water on my head, and I got soaking wet. Then Brooke tied a piece of string to a stick, and then I went in a very shallow part in the ocean, and sat down so we could help me up. And then I climbed up the rocks, and then had to help Ava down through the rocks since she was afraid to touch the poison oak. But we didn’t touch it. Instead she went down before me so I could help her with her poison oak issue. Then we climbed on the big rocks and me and Ava both got our knees scraped, and Greta helped us feel better.
Little sisters!
Then we had to go back up for lunch, and we had a picnic with Ava and Brooke. And after that Ava and Brooke left and then I was very sad and now I’m waiting for them to come back, and then we’ll go play again.
And that’s the way my story ends!

In the morning on july 12th we were seting in a polovere *(pullover) along the Haines Highway and I looked out the window and there was something like a dog. I asked my mom if it was a fox. She looked and said “yes”. Then daddy said it was a gray fox. We watched for a while and then he went down the road. Then we started driving to follow him but he went into the ditch but I spotted him again. This was my second gray fox on this trip. So far on this trip, I am the only one who has spotted a gray fox. Done.

June 9th we went on a long, 6 hour, boat ride to see glaciers and wildlife. Soon after I got on the boat, I started to have a headache and then as we started moving more I got a stomachache so me and Momma went outside on the top deck. Momma asked Daddy to get a bag but I couldn’t wait so I tossed my cookies. Momma said I did a good job throwing up over the rail but I felt bad because I couldn’t hit the water and some got on the boat. A nice man who works on the boat brought me some ginger ale. And a nice woman who I didn’t know brought more ginger ale and some bread. I gave that ginger ale to Ellie so she could try some.
Ellie was very scared because she felt like we weren’t safe ‘cuz we were all going ricketty and rocketty and she thought we would tumble over into the water. If we did it would be OK because we all know how to swim and usually the whales don’t bite or anything or there are just salmon and the salmon don’t bite.
After I threw up I felt better. Then we started to see lots of animals. We saw humpback whales hanging out and blowing their spouts and flipping their tails, we saw some killer whales just swimming around and blowing their spouts too. Then we saw a humpback whale jumping out of the water. He was playing. It was cool!
We saw a family of orca swim past us
We also saw a baby mountain goat and its momma, or maybe it was it’s daddy but usually the babies are with the mommas. I’m not sure if the baby was a boy or girl but I don’t think it matters to the mommies or daddies because they still love them.
We also got to see some puffins (Stella’s favorite animal) and another bird that can dive down 600 feet for safety and for fish. Some people saw a bald eagle but I didn’t.
We also went to a glacier. It was pretty blue and white. It was very big and it was down by the water. We saw some ice falling off of it. It was very loud, especially when the ice fell.
When we got back to the dock I was happy because we were home and because we got some dessert on the boat.
