We thought we had seen the last of the snow in southern Utah, but we were wrong.  As we climbed up into the Cascades that morning the snow was falling hard, and the mountaintop looked like a winter wonderland.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_1608\" style=\"width: 490px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"https:\/\/4wheels4girls.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/or_caves_snow.jpg\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1608\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/4wheels4girls.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/or_caves_snow.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"or_caves_snow\" width=\"480\" height=\"272\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1608\" srcset=\"https:\/\/4wheels4girls.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/or_caves_snow.jpg 480w, https:\/\/4wheels4girls.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/or_caves_snow-300x170.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 480px) 100vw, 480px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-1608\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">We were not expecting snow again, two days before June!<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The cave was very beautiful.  It was a small cave, and relatively young, at about a million and a half years.  It is a marble cave, and it was cool to see the marble in the ceilings and steps throughout the cave.  The entrance and first several 100 yards of the cave were along and atop the stream which cut the cave, the Styx river.  It was nice to hear it roar along and see its path through the rocks.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_1605\" style=\"width: 460px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"https:\/\/4wheels4girls.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/or_cave.jpg\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1605\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/4wheels4girls.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/or_cave.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"or_cave\" width=\"450\" height=\"354\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1605\" srcset=\"https:\/\/4wheels4girls.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/or_cave.jpg 450w, https:\/\/4wheels4girls.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/or_cave-300x236.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-1605\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">At the entrance to the cave, the mouth of the Styx river.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The downside of this cave:  a significant number of the cave decorations were removed by early visitors to the cave.  Two rooms were almost completely defaced.  There was one room however, called Paradise Lost, which was absolutely beautiful.
